frequently asked questions
why is making noise audio-only? my kid loves videos
limiting the production to audio can help distracted kids focus using a single sense. it encourages careful consideration of what they say and how they say it, and acting with intention. the tools developed to produce audio (ideation, production, post-production, promotion) are transferable to any medium...including video.
do you offer single classes or drop-ins?
making noise 101 is an introductory survey with cumulative instruction that makes it difficult to accommodate drop-ins. later advanced courses (102 coming soon!) will be more workshop-based and may allow for single classes and drop-ins.
does my child need to have their own gear?
students are encouraged to bring their own headphones and late-model laptops, but any necessary equipment will be provided. for gear recommendations for young audio producers, check out our gear guide.
