a monthly mix show helmed by the odd future alumnus thebe kgositsile and standing on the corner's gio escobar, earl sweatshirt stays inside explored the musical headspace of one. rap's most gifted and inspired writers. for the final episode of the show's second season, earl invited solange to red bull's los angeles studios to chop it up and play some of her favorite records.

bruh w/ awful records

comedian zack fox pairs a singular and irreverent pov with a natural goofy charm for bruh, an interview show featuring a selection of his friends and favorite artists, with musical selections that match his infectious personality. for a special live edition of the show in broadcast live from resident in los angeles, zack hosted comedian jak knight, awful records' abra and father, and aminé.

across 135th street

writer, dj, producer, and radio host jeff "chairman" mao is an institution unto himself, from the early days of the source magazine, ego trip, and the red bull music academy. across 135th street reflected his pedigree as a crate-digger with a deep understanding of the music that would become the building blocks of hip-hop. at the final rbma in berlin, mao hosted the legend brian jackson at the funkhaus, taking us through selections from throughout his career as gil scott-heron’s music partner and beyond, helping define the sound of conscious music in the post-civil rights era.

lawrence burney's true laurels started as a zine covering culture in his hometown of baltimore, growing to encompass live events and this weekly show broadcast live at red bull studios in new york city. highlighting the cutting edge of black music from the d.c.-maryland-virginia area and beyond, the show invited artists and thinkers from across the culture to a platform for lawrence's unique perspective. this selected episode features the rapper, actor, and lecturer junglepussy.

federation sound

reggae and dancehall mainstay max glazer hosted this weekly show live from red bull studios in new york city, featuring a mix of new music, exclusive dubs, interviews, and news from across the culture. a true reggae scholar and selector, max offered crucial context for contemporary jamaican music anchored by strong connections to the music's rich history. this selected episode featured a nascent 19-year old singer named Koffee, just before she would become the youngest person—and first woman—to win the best reggae album grammy.

dâm-funk presents glydezone

one of the coolest dudes to ever pick up a mic and an mpc, dâm-funk's glydezone is a peek into the mind of the artist, with funky, smoothed-out mixes and interviews with some of the artists in dâm's orbit. this episode was recorded with the canadian dj and producer jayda g in berlin, with dâm beaming in from his home in los angeles to hear about jayda's new music and how she conquered the club circuit in europe.
